Maya's Rose Park Bakery is a mother/daughter-owned small family business in the Rose Park Historic District of Long Beach. We have a cottage license, so we cook at home. We are proud to deliver artisanal breads, pastries, and cookies - made with Love and quality Organic ingredients - from our home kitchen to you.
Everything is made in small batches by hand, so everything is as fresh as it gets. We value community (our community is our family), buying and selling locally (to keep our community strong), and using quality organic and non-GMO ingredients (to protect your health, the environment, and the food security of future generations).
We hope to be your community bakery. We bring what we bake to you, where you are, and to the local farmers markets. We look forward to feeding you our quality bread and treats. It gives me purpose. It teaches my daughter entrepreneurship. And my daughter and I get exercise meeting our neighbors selling throughout the neighborhood when we are not busy baking and at the farmers markets. It's a small family business.
Maya's Rose Park Bakery is a home business started by 13 year old Maya Passmore and her mom, in the Rose Park Historic District of Long Beach. We are proud to deliver wholesome organic baked goods — made with Love and quality Organic ingredients — from our home kitchen to you.
The idea for selling baked goods began in the summer of 2014 when Maya baked and sold 9-grain chocolate chip walnut cookies door-to-door in our Rose Park neighborhood to raise the half tuition needed to match her scholarship to attend Arrowbear Music Camp. Inspired by her success and by the new cottage food legislation (the California homemade food act), Maya and her mother decided to start their own organic bakery.
We now bake and sell our treats at 5 farmers markets in Long Beach, as well as by subscription to our Community Supported Bakery membership program, and by online orders. We also accept special orders for delivery within Long Beach.
Your advance payments will help with our cash flow so that we can maintain our supplies, pay our bills, and spend more time and energy on baking the best bread and perfect wholesome pastries possible. In addition, with enough advance funding, we can work on upgrading our equipment which we really need.
